The Philosophical Apprentice

“Only one who devotes himself to a cause with his whole strength and soul can be a true master. For this reason mastery demands all of a person.” Albert Einstein

Double Teaming Phaedo

I started reading the Phaedo tonight. To experience the full effect I am reading the Benjamin Jowett translation while at the same time listening to to it on an audio recording of the Jowett translation I found at librivox.org. The narrator is pretty good and I think that I  can remember more of the text and render more of my attention to the text if I read along while I am listening to it.
